How Weekly Lessons Work

Most students take lessons once a week on the same day and time with the same instructor each week. Lessons are taught in the comfort of your home, allowing students to learn in a familiar and relaxed environment.

Our instructors travel directly to you, helping families avoid the extra stress of driving to and from a music school after a busy day.

Lessons are personalized based on each student’s:

  • Age

  • Experience level

  • Goals

  • Learning pace

  • Musical interests

What Beginners Should Expect

No prior experience is needed to get started.

One of the biggest misconceptions about music lessons is that students need to already know something before beginning. In reality, many of our students start as complete beginners.

Early lessons typically focus on:

  • Building comfort and confidence

  • Learning musical fundamentals

  • Developing proper technique

  • Establishing healthy practice habits

  • Keeping the learning process enjoyable and encouraging

Every student progresses at their own pace, and consistency over time is what creates long-term growth.

Choosing The Right Lesson Length

We offer several lesson length options depending on age, experience level, and goals.

30 Minute Lessons
A great starting point for beginners and younger students with shorter attention spans.

45 Minute Lessons
A balanced option that allows for additional instruction time while still keeping lessons manageable for many students.

60 Minute Lessons
Ideal for older students, adults, advancing musicians, or students looking for more in-depth instruction and faster progress.

Do We Need An Instrument Before Starting?

Not always.

Some families already have an instrument at home, while others prefer to wait until after speaking with an instructor. We’re happy to help guide families through instrument recommendations and beginner setup questions.

For piano students, many beginners start on a simple keyboard before eventually transitioning to a full piano later on.

Practice Expectations

Consistent practice between lessons is one of the most important parts of musical growth.

For beginners, even short daily practice sessions can make a huge difference over time. The goal early on is not perfection, but rather developing consistency and confidence.

We encourage students and families to focus on:

  • Small daily progress

  • Positive routines

  • Patience and consistency

  • Enjoyment of the learning process
